We thought we'd do something different when we restored 'The Workshops'... something really luxurious.

Unlike the colonial charm of the Officer's Quarters, our Luxury Cottage offers uncluttered decor with crisp, clean lines and furniture skilfully handcrafted from local timbers selected from the property. Central heating, double spa bath and queen-sized bed make this the ultimate indulgence for those who prefer a little more space.

The interior features huge hand-hewn beams, lime washed walls and wooden shingle ceiling. As a tribute to the post-convict era, in which the building was used as a coolstore, two walls have been lined with recycled apple case sides. Everything that could be reused was reused. Even the queen-sized bed is made from recycled floor joists replaced during restoration.

This outstanding cottage has three spacious rooms, two bathrooms and a full-sized kitchen.
